Morocco earthquake kills thousands, reducing homes to rubble as rescue teams search for survivors

A powerful magnitude-6.8 earthquake in Morocco has killed thousands and destroyed many buildings.

The earthquake struck Morocco’s High Atlas mountains late on Friday night (local time).

According to the interior ministry, at least 2,012 people have been killed and 2,059 were injured in the quake.
